It was our final day of camping and hiking in Iceland and we were both sad, yet relieved to be heading back to normality and to eat some hot food.

We had clear skies and relative warmth as we packed up early to make our bus. We had hit the trail by 6:30am and enjoyed what looked like mountainous farmland

We eventually joined up with some small trails, completed our final river crossing and started walking through bush like overgrowth

After a final descent we finally arrived at the finish. We grabbed a beer from the small shop, jumped in some thermal waters and enjoyed not having to walk for awhile

It was a fantastic hike, it took us through the full array of Icelands landscapes. I highly recommend it to everyone. The trip back was also eventful as we stopped at a fairly epic waterfall
